Don’t let your breath be a turn-off this Valentine’s
One of the biggest turn-offs on a date is bad breath and horrible, yellowy teeth
comes a close second.
But there is no need for anyone to inflict halitosis on an unsuspecting date,
despite one in four people suffering from bad breath on a regular basis.
There are a number of things that can cause bad breath, but usually it’s the result of
poor oral hygiene. If bacteria builds-up in your mouth, the toxins produced can cause
your breath to smell.
Bacteria break down pieces of food in the mouth, and may release an unpleasant-
smelling gas. Any food trapped on your teeth, particularly between them, is broken
down by bacteria, which may cause bad breath.
Persistent bad breath can sometimes be a sign of gum disease. Eating strongly
flavoured foods, such as onions and garlic, can also cause your breath to smell, as
can smoking and drinking alcohol. Occasionally, bad breath can occur after an
infection or illness, or as a result of taking certain types of medication.
Beverly Hills Formula teeth whitening and oral hygiene experts said improving your
oral health is usually enough to cure bad breath and stop it happening again. Make
sure you;

• Brush your teeth and gums at least twice a day
• Don’t forget to also clean your tongue regularly
• Floss between your teeth daily

Making sure you use high quality oral hygiene products with proven results is
crucial and Beverly Hills Formula have a range of teeth whitening toothpastes
